Adopt a Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Call for Bids for the FY 2020 Median Landscape Improvement Project Nos. 05255 & 07482
RECOMMENDATION
That Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) approving the plans and specifications for the FY 2020 Median Landscape Improvement Project and calling for bids to be received on December 8, 2020.
SUMMARY
This project is a continuation of the City’s median landscape and irrigation improvements project for key corridors throughout the City. This is the sixth of several landscape improvement projects within the City. The original project’s scope included the improvements to five median islands on Hesperian Boulevard from West Winton Avenue to Chabot Court. However, due to increased construction cost and the limited availability of funding, the FY 20 Median Landscape Improvement Project will be limited to the improvements to two median islands along Hesperian Boulevard from La Playa Drive to Chabot Court.
This project is categorically exempt under Section 15301(c) of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines for the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing facilities.
