RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That the City Council interviews twenty-nine applicants for service on the Clean and Green Commission, Community Services Commission, Library Commission, Personnel Commission, and Planning Commission.

SUMMARY
At the outset of the recruitment process, there were fourteen vacancies across City commissions; however, additional vacancies arose during the process due to resignations and seats being vacated, bringing the total number higher. By the application deadline, the City received fifty-two applications, of which twenty-nine qualified for consideration. Attachment II provides the final list of qualified applicants along with their preferences for service. A digital binder containing all qualified applications was made available to the City Council on August 11, 2025, and is also available for public review in the City Clerk’s Office or upon request. Each member of the City Council reviewed and pre-screened the applications and submitted their selections to the City Clerk by August 20, 2025. Attachment III contains the list of selected applicants and Attachment IV contains the interview schedule.
The City Council may review appeals submitted by commissioners who did not meet the 75% attendance requirement and determine whether any exceptions should be granted based on individual circumstances.
