Recommendation
That the Council Economic Development Committee receives an update on the COVID-19 Business Resiliency Grant Program and information on the upcoming round of funding for the Small Business Assistance Program.

SUMMARY
The City of Hayward’s COVID-19 Small Business Resiliency Grant Program utilized Economic Development funds to provide $5,000 grants to small businesses and restaurants to provide some assistance during the Shelter in Place (SIP). Seventy-six businesses received funding through the program. After funding was complete, a short survey was sent to all recipients for feedback on the program. This report also provides an update on the upcoming funding and implementation of the City of Hayward’s Small Business Assistance Program.
