RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

 

That the Personnel Commission holds a Public Hearing and recommends City Council adoption of the revised Salary Plan and Classification Plan for each position in the City’s classified service for Fiscal Year 2027, effective October 5, 2026.

SUMMARY

 

As required by the Municipal Code, the salary plan is prepared at least one time each year. Throughout the year, staff also bring the salary plan to the Personnel Commission and the City Council when there are changes. This report presents proposed changes to the Fiscal Year 2027 Salary Plan revised to reflect a salary adjustment to one (1) clerical classification, and the addition of one (1) existing part-time classification not previously reflected in the salary plans, effective May 18, 2026 and June 29, 2026. The Fiscal Year 2027 Salary Plan revised to reflect the addition of one (1) new classification effective October 5, 2026.
