RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

 

That the City Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) authorizing the City Manager to accept and appropriate $25,000 in awarded grant funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety for the Hayward Police Department.

SUMMARY

 

The Hayward Police Department applied for and was awarded $25,000 in grant funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety for the Hayward Police Department as part of a Motorcyclist Safety Education and Training Program grant.  The grant award will be used to fund three “Live to Ride” motorcycle courses offered by Hayward Police Department’s Traffic Unit staff.
