SUMMARY

As part of a strategy to enhance the City’s capacity for rapid-response traffic safety measures, staff recommends entering into a contract with a contractor to provide on-call traffic signage and striping services. On March 27, 2026, the City issued a Request for Quotes, which included a description of the services expected to be provided and a list of bid items for which to provide prices.  On April 17, 2026, the City received one responsive quote from Chrisp Company. The proposed prices for each bid item were broadly aligned with expected costs based on recent bids for similar projects.

The contract duration is one year, with an option to extend up to three years if both the City and Contractor mutually agree. The total cost of work performed through the on-call contract in FY2027 may not exceed $300,000. Staff recommend that City Council approve the contract, allowing the Transportation Division to issue task orders for signage and striping needs.
