That the Personnel Commission reviews and approves the new job description for the Capital Program and Enterprise Funds Manager classification and adopts the classification into the City’s Classification Plan.

SUMMARY
The City is proposing the creation of a new job description for the Capital Program and Enterprise Funds Manager classification in the Public Works and Utilities Department. The classification is being established to strengthen the Department's business and financial management functions in response to increasingly complex projects. The position will direct and coordinate business services activities, including completing and monitoring financial transactions, preparing, monitoring, and analyzing operating and Capital Improvement Project budgets, seeking and monitoring special financing, coordinating with other City departments, and providing highly responsible technical support to the Director of Public Works. The proposed classification has been carefully reviewed by subject matter experts from the Public Works & Utilities Department and Human Resources and have been mutually agreed upon by the respective labor unions.
