RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That the Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) appointing Hoang Dao to the Community Services Commission to fill the unexpired term of Artavia Berry, which will expire on September 30, 2026.

SUMMARY
The Council, during its September 12, 2023 Council meeting, confirmed the list of 2023 alternates and selected Hoang Dao as the alternate for the Community Services Commission. On December 5, 2023, Ms. Artavia Berry, now former member of the Community Services Commission, submitted a letter of resignation which created an unexpected vacancy on the Community Services Commission. Mr. Hoang Dao was contacted to confirm his eligibility status and his interest in serving on the Community Services Commission. If appointed to the Community Services Commission, Mr. Hoang Dao’s term would be effective immediately and would end on September 30, 2026.
