Recommendation
That Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) authorizing the City Manager to negotiate an agreement with Stryker Corporation for the purchase of LUCAS 3, v3.1, chest compression devices for use by the Hayward Fire Department (HFD).

SUMMARY
Capital Improvement Project (CIP) 07450 is designated for the purchase of replacement Lucas chest compressor devices for the Hayward Fire Department (HFD). HFD would like to complete the purchase with the Stryker Corporation, as they were the previous provider of this equipment and have facilitated a trade-in option of the existing equipment for a cost reduction when purchasing newer equipment. Since the existing Lucas Chest Compression devices are reaching the end of their life capacity, HFD would like to use the trade-in option to purchase the updated LUCAS 3, v3.1 chest compression devices for HFD. The purchase cost of $384,835.54 is covered by the existing CIP budget and is a planned purchase as part of the FY24 CIP project list.
