RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That Council authorizes the City Manager to: (1) negotiate and execute two separate annual MOUs between the City and the Hayward Unified School District for School Resource Officer and School-Based Counseling Services and (2) accept a total of $563,804 ($443,804 for School Resource Officers and $120,000 for School-Based Counselors) in payment for these services.

SUMMARY
The Youth and Family Services Bureau of the Hayward Police Department enters into two annual agreements with the Hayward Unified School District to provide 1) School Resource Officer Services and 2) School-based Counseling Services. Both are essential for maintaining school safety and supporting student success and achievement.
