RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That the City Council adopts the attached resolution (Attachment II) confirming the appointment to the Hayward Youth Commission of twelve (12) voting members, nine (9) alternate members, as well as the reappointment of five (5) continuing members and the promotion of two (2) 2017 alternate members to voting members.

SUMMARY
The City conducted its annual recruitment for the Hayward Youth Commission (HYC) between March 6 and May 25, 2018, and a panel of representatives from the three local agencies (City of Hayward, Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD), and the Hayward Unified School District (HUSD)) interviewed forty-six (46) eligible applicants on June 7, 2018. The panel selected a total of twenty-one (21) regular voting and alternate members. The same panel confirmed the reappointment of five (5) current members and the promotion of two (2) alternate members of the HYC.
