Recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council designates a voting delegate as Hayward’s representative to the 2018 League Annual Business Meeting at the League of California Cities Annual Conference and adopts a resolution with the designee identified; and authorizes the City Clerk to submit the 2018 Annual Conference Voting Delegate/Alternate Form along with the adopted Resolution.

SUMMARY
The League of California Cities 2018 Annual Conference is scheduled for September 12-14, 2018 in Long Beach, California. The Annual Business Meeting (General Assembly), scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2018, is typically where various municipalities’ voting delegates can vote on resolutions considered by the League. To vote at the Annual Business Meeting, the City Council must designate a voting delegate and up to two alternates and submit the names to the League no later than July 31, 2018.
