RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That City Council adopts the attached resolution to accept and appropriate a total of $670,000 from the Fairview Fire Protection District for the purchase of Type III and Type VI fire vehicles.

SUMMARY
As part of the service agreement between the Fairview Fire Protection District (District) and the City, the District agrees to provide vehicles and replace them on a ten-year cycle. The Type III and Type VI vehicles are due for replacement. The District has budgeted $450,000 for the Type III and $220,000 for the Type VI in its Capital Improvement Budget. If the Council authorizes this action, staff will accept funding from the District, appropriate the funding to the Maintenance Services Department Fleet Capital budget, and proceed with the intent to purchase.
