RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That Council adopts the attached resolution (Attachment II) approving the plans and specifications for the New Sidewalks FY19 Project, calling for bids to be received on March 19, 2019.

SUMMARY
The New Sidewalks FY19 Project calls for three locations for new sidewalks: Calhoun Street, Muir Street, and Walpert Street (Attachment III).
The project will help provide a safe and continuous pedestrian route to Saint Clement School, John Muir Elementary School, and Hayward High school. Existing driveways and curb ramps in new sidewalk areas will be reconstructed to comply with the current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
The project budget of $2,540,000 is funded via Measure B (Pedestrian and Bicycle) and Measure BB (Pedestrian and Bicycle) funds.
