That Council adopts the attached resolution to commit to participate in the Climate Mayors Electric Vehicle Purchasing Collaborative.

SUMMARY
Cities and counties around the country, including several in California, are committing to participate in the Climate Mayors Electric Vehicle Purchasing Collaborative with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with municipal fleet vehicles.
On March 11, 2019, staff presented a draft resolution (Attachment II) in support of Hayward’s participation in this collaborative to the Council Sustainability Committee. The Committee recommended that Council adopt the resolution and directed staff to place an agenda item on a future Council meeting for Council consideration.
