RECOMMENDATION

Recommendation

That Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) authorizing the City Manager to accept and appropriate a total of $16,700 from the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to fund enforcement operations designed to prevent the sales of alcohol from underaged individuals. 

SUMMARY

The Hayward Police Department applied for and was awarded a grant from the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage to fund operations designed to reduce the sales of alcohol to minors.  The Hayward Police Department will perform three (3) minor decoy operations, three (3) shoulder tap operations, and two (2) IMPACT inspections.
