Adopt a Resolution Designating Council Member Márquez as the City’s Representative and Council Member Wahab as the Alternate to the Board of Directors for East Bay Community Energy
RECOMMENDATION
That Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) designating Council Member Márquez as the City’s representative and Council Member Wahab as the alternate to the Board of Directors for East Bay Community Energy (EBCE).
SUMMARY
When EBCE was established in 2016, Council Member Mendall was designated as Hayward’s representative and Council Member Márquez was designated as Hayward’s alternate to the EBCE Board of Directors. With Council Member Mendall’s term on Council coming to an end, a new representative for the EBCE Board is needed. At this time, there is no end date to the appointment. However, the Council can reconsider this appointment in two years when the Council next changes its liaison assignments and appointments.
