Recommendation
That the Ad Hoc Committee reviews the Council Handbook and makes recommendations for changes to the City Council.

SUMMARY
On May 4, 2021, the Council had a discussion regarding potential modifications to the Council handbook following the Council retreat this past February. At that meeting, the Council recommended creating an Ad Hoc Committee of three Councilmembers to finalize the revisions to the handbook. The committee is comprised of Mayor Halliday, Councilmember Márquez and Councilmember Wahab.
On May 26, 2021, the Committee met for the first time and provided initial feedback and direction on edits to the Council Handbook. Attachment II includes a redline version of the Handbook prepared by the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk based on the discussion at the first meeting. Once the Committee reviews and approves the edits, the Handbook will be presented to the Council for adoption.
