Recommendation
That the Council and HARD Board review the attached working agenda (Attachment I) and provide feedback on a shared vision and successful partnership for parks in Hayward.

SUMMARY
The City of Hayward and Hayward Area Park and Recreation District (HARD) have a decades-long history of working together to oversee the development, maintenance, and programming of parks in Hayward. This joint work session between the HARD Board and the City Council will be facilitated by CivicMakers LLC, with support from staff from both agencies. The purpose of the session is to discuss shared vision and opportunities, lay the groundwork for frequent interagency collaboration, and gain clarity around how to best serve the Hayward public.
