RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
That the City Council adopts a resolution (Attachment II) confirming the appointment to the Hayward Youth Commission of ten (10) voting members and eleven (11) alternate members, and the reappointment of six (6) continuing members.

SUMMARY
The City conducted its annual recruitment for the Hayward Youth Commission (HYC) between March 9, 2023, and May 19, 2023, and a panel of representatives from the three local agencies (City of Hayward, Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD), and the Hayward Unified School District (HUSD)) reviewed fifty-nine (59) applications and interviewed forty-nine (49) eligible applicants on June 1, 2023. The panel selected a total of twenty-one (21) regular voting and alternate members. The same panel confirmed the reappointment of six (6) current members.
