Discussion of Mayor & City Council FY 2025 Budget
RECOMMENDATION
That the Committee reviews and provides comments on the proposed FY 2025 Mayor & City Council budget and narrative.
SUMMARY
On May 11, 2024, the City Manager will present for Council consideration the proposed operating budget for FY 2025. Staff plans to bring the budget adoption in early June. Staff is proposing the attached Mayor & City Council budget, which adds $12,750 to the supplies and services budget to account for the increase to the Council Members’ discretionary funds per the Council handbook revisions made in November of 2023, and $13,500 to reinstate the City’s membership in the US Conference of Mayors. In addition, staff is proposing the key activities and accomplishments from FY 2024 in the attached proposed budget narrative. Staff is seeking feedback from the Committee on the attached document.
