Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Process Plan and Development Calendar
RECOMMENDATION
That the Committee receives an overview on the FY 2027 Budget Process and Calendar Review.
SUMMARY
The FY 2027 Budget Process and Calendar generally follows the same cycle from past budget years. Due to the challenges with the FY 2025-26 budget, this process is compressed and also includes the Fiscal Sustainability Workshop scheduled for February 28,2026. The annual budget process includes several significant steps that allow for the development and presentation of the proposed budget to the City Council for consideration prior to the planned adoption in June 2026. Attached (Attachment I) is a detailed calendar of key deadlines that outline the FY 2027 budget process.
